Nexus Management provides school maintenance and building upgrades across Sydney. Our clients have included the NSW Department of Education, and we understand that school sites need careful planning, safe work practices and as little disruption as possible to students and staff.

Schools are busy, complex sites. Work has to fit around the school day, keep students and staff safe, and often be finished within a fixed holiday window. We plan school work with that in mind and keep school business managers and asset staff informed at every stage.
School maintenance and upgrade work we deliver
- Fencing upgrades and repairs: such as replacing low fencing with higher chainwire fencing to improve site safety
- Painting: classrooms, halls, corridors and exterior areas. See painting, flooring and carpentry
- Flooring: repairs and replacement of worn or damaged flooring
- Carpentry: doors, frames, joinery and general timber repairs
- Roof and gutter maintenance: inspections, cleaning and repairs. See roof and gutter maintenance
- General repairs and remedial works. See building repairs
- Building upgrades: improvement works to school buildings and grounds
- Outdoor area upgrades: such as courtyard seating, turf, garden beds and playground softfall surfacing
Project example: Woronora River Public School
At Woronora River Public School, we replaced the existing 0.9 m fence with a new 3.6 m high chainwire fence. We also built a custom box fence behind the basketball ring to protect cars in the nearby school car park. It's a practical upgrade that improves site safety. See more on our projects page.

Planning around school terms and holidays
The best time for disruptive work is when students aren't on site. For NSW public schools, Term 4 2026 ends on Thursday 17 December, and the summer holidays run from Friday 18 December 2026 to Wednesday 27 January 2027 for Eastern Division schools. That's the longest stretch of the year for painting, flooring, fencing, roof work and upgrades.
We recommend agreeing scope, access and timing during the term, so works can start as soon as the school is empty and the site is handed back ready for students to return. Smaller jobs can also be scheduled for shorter holiday breaks, or after hours, where that suits the school.
Working safely on school sites
Student and staff safety comes first on every school job. We follow the school's site procedures and keep work areas separated from students. We also plan noisy or higher-risk tasks for times when the site is quiet. Where work is done during term, we coordinate closely with the school so day-to-day activities can continue.
Working with school business managers and asset staff
We know that school business managers and asset staff have limited time and plenty of competing priorities. Our aim is to make maintenance one less thing to worry about: clear quotes, open communication, work completed on time, and a tidy site at the end of every job. We built the business on quality, pricing and service, and that applies to every school we work with.
School maintenance across Sydney
We work with schools across Greater Sydney, with a strong focus on Western Sydney, including Parramatta, Blacktown, Penrith, Liverpool, Fairfield and Guildford. See also our Western Sydney building maintenance page.

Common questions
When should we book summer holiday works?
As early as possible during Term 4, so scope, access and pricing can be agreed before the last day of term.
Can you work during school terms?
Yes, for suitable jobs. We coordinate with the school to keep work areas separate from students and to minimise disruption.
